Christmas Dinner
Everyone is welcome to our annual Christmas Dinner. We hope as many as can will join in. This is a potluck supper and we do have to know how many to expect. If you are planning to come, please let Debbie Lavallée know (or phone her at 514-258-7745) to let her know how many are coming with you and what you will be bringing.

Gift Sunday
Next Sunday is Gift Sunday. This is a time we may share with those less fortunate. We ask that you bring your gift unwrapped and in a gift bag. You can mark them for those intended, if not otherwise obvious. We think especially of children at this time of year but please don’t forget the teenagers and young people. Let us make this a special Christmas for someone. Thank you.

When God Stepped Out
We don’t have to guess what God is like. And we don’t have to stare up at the sky and wonder, Is God up there? Can’t He show Himself and let us see Him? God has already let us see who He is! By sending His Son Jesus to earth, the heavenly Father fully made Himself known to us. Jesus was God “appeared in the flesh”: (1 Tim 3:16). He made this clear when He said to Philip “Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father” (John 14:9).
This is the good news of Christmas—that God has shown us what He is like in the person of His Son. He left heaven’s glory and came down to earth to be born of a virgin. All the strength, character and power of the infinite God were found in the baby that Mary cradled in a Bethlehem manger. He was the “image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation” (Colossians 1:15). And “in Him all things were created…all things hold together” (vv: 16-17).
As we celebrate Jesus’ birth, remember who He is. In Him we see the holiness, the grace and love of the eternal God.
At Christmas, God did step out of heaven. Paul Van Gorder

Prayers and Intercessions
Prayer for Today
Almighty God, give us grace to cast away the works of darkness and put on the armour of light, now in the time of this mortal life in which Your Son Jesus Christ came to us in great humility, that on the last day, when He shall come again in His glorious majesty to judge both the living and the dead, we may rise to the life immortal; through Him Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
Prayer for the Worldwide Anglican Church
We pray for mission agencies and their work throughout the Anglican Communion.
Diocesan Prayer Care
We pray for Regional Deans: the Reverend Christopher Belle and the Reverend Andy O’Donnell.
Prayer for our Church family
We see You mighty God in the most unlikely places as a child in a stable, and in an empty tomb. May You hear the prayers, Father, which come from the unlikely corners of our lives. In the Name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Prayer Team
For those who wish to pray with someone, a prayer team is available after the Service in the left-hand corner of the Sanctuary. The Prayer Team scheduled for today is: Dulcy and Christopher
