“Christ came to bring peace on earth and goodwill to all. As we eagerly anticipate the Second Advent, we pause to consider our readiness for Christ’s coming and our need to repent of anything that keeps us from being at peace with God.
“God is always near us. Always for us. Always in us. We may forget Him, but God will never forget us.”
“A remarkable gift can arrive in an unremarkable package. One did in Bethlehem.”

The Lord bless you and keep you;
The Lord make his face to shine upon you,
And be gracious to you’
The Lord lift up his countenance upon you,
And give you peace.
(Numbers 6:24-26)

It’s never too late to come to Christ for help.
Your stack of sins is never too high. Your list of failures is never too long.
That knock at the door of your heart? That’s Jesus.
If God loves you, you must be worth loving.

Intercessions and Prayers
Prayer for Today
Almighty God, Who sent Your servant John the Baptist to prepare Your people to welcome the Messiah, inspire us, the ministers and stewards of Your truth, to turn our disobedient hearts to You, that when the Christ shall come again to be our judge, we may stand with confidence before His glory; Who is alive and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God,
now and forever. Amen.
Prayer for the Worldwide Anglican Church
We pray for the Falkland Islands (Extra-Provincial to Canterbury), the Right Reverend Timothy Thornton
Provincial Prayer Care
We pray for the Diocese of Eastern Newfoundland and Labrador, Bishop Geoffrey Peddle.
Diocesan Prayer Care
We pray for the Loans Committee of the Diocese.
Prayer for our Church Family
Heavenly Father, we thank you for sending your Son so that all who believe in him will be saved. Help us always as a congregation and as individuals to spread the good news of eternal salvation found through your Son, Jesus. In our own country, many have never heard about Jesus and his saving grace. May we be bold to share this good news with all we meet today and every day. Amen.
Prayer Team
For those who wish to pray with someone, a prayer team is available after the Service in the left-hand corner of the Sanctuary.
The Prayer Team scheduled for today is: Dulcy & Chris

Lord, open our eyes,
That we may see You in our brothers and sisters.
Lord, open our ears,
That we may hear the cries of the hungry, the cold,
the frightened, the oppressed.
Lord, open our hearts,
That we may love each other as You love us.
Renew in us Your spirit,
Lord, free us and make us one.
Mother Teresa (1910-1997)
