Presentation of Jesus in the Temple
Today we remember when Joseph and Mary presented Jesus in the Temple. From the time the Child is seen, people are saying incredible things about Him. One fellow even went so far as to say ‘Well, now I have seen all that I need to see. God has blessed me today. It doesn’t get any better than this; not on Earth, at any rate!’
When we encounter Jesus, it is something extraordinary. It moves us. It moves us to see things differently. It moves us to act differently. We must think about the signs of God’s presence in our daily lives. They point to the truth of His promises and the glory of His kingdom.

Prayer for Today
Living God, in Christ You make all things new. Transform the poverty of our nature by the riches of Your grace, and in the renewal of our lives make known Your glory; through Jesus Christ our Lord, Who is alive and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Prayer for our Church Family
Almighty God, on this day Your Son Jesus Christ was presented in the temple, while Joseph and Mary were awestruck by all that Anna and Simeon said about him. We treasure these words in our hearts, and pledge to spend more time with our Lord each day, so that we may be awestruck by the wonders of His love. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
Today’s Prayer Team
For those who wish to pray with someone, a prayer team is available after the Service in the left-hand corner of the Sanctuary. Scheduled for today is: Don & Christopher
