You are the Salt of the Earth
What does it mean to be ‘salt of the earth’? I think it means that you stand out in a way that is remarkably Christian. As followers of Christ, we are called to be different. Our thoughts, words and deeds are motivated by a desire to be like Jesus. We believe in the power of His message of hope, love, and, salvation.
This message challenges us to love God with all of our heart, soul mind and strength, and to love our neighbours as ourselves. This is how we are the salt of the earth. We live in a way that shows we believe that God is love, we believe that God’s love is the light that pierces this world’s darkness. See how our God prepares us for service in His kingdom!

“Life is wasted if we do not grasp the glory of the cross, cherish it for the treasure that it is, and cleave to it as the highest price of every pleasure and the deepest comfort in every pain. What was once foolishness to us—a crucified God—must become our wisdom and our power and our only boast in this world.” – John Piper

Amen.
