If you are thirsty, come!
If you want life-giving water,
Come and take it.
It’s free! (Rev. 22:17 CEV)

Precious as it is to proclaim, “Christ died for the world,” even sweeter it is to whisper, “Christ died for ME.” Max Lucado from GRACE

Your death? Defeated. Your sins? Forgiven. Your fears? He will give you courage. Your questions? He will guide you. Jesus lifts burdens; he doesn’t add to them . . . It’s never too late to come to Christ for help. Your stack of sins is never too high. Your list of failures is never too long. That knock at the door of your heart? That’s Jesus . . . All you have to do is open the door. Max Lucado, Because of Bethlehem

Prayers and Intercessions

Prayer for Today
Father of mercy, alone we have no power in ourselves to help ourselves. When we are discouraged by our weakness, strengthen us to follow Christ, our pattern and our hope; Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

Prayer for the Worldwide Anglican Church
We pray for the Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui – the Most Reverend Paul Kwong – Archbishop of Hong Kong Sheng Kung Hui and Bishop of Hong Kong Island

Provincial Prayer Care
We pray for the Diocese of Western Newfoundland – Bishop John Organ.

Diocesan Prayer Care
We pray for St. Luke’s Anglican Church, Hemmingford; Trinity Anglican Church, Havelock; and St. Matthew’s Anglican Church, Edwardstown – the Reverend Nick Brotherwood.

Prayer for our Church family
Heavenly Father, so many times we try to do things our own way instead of coming to you in prayer for your guidance. Help us to read and understand your word and grow into the people you created us to be. Give us discernment as a parish so that we may go where you lead us. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Today’s Prayer Team
For those who wish to pray with someone, a prayer team is available after the service in the left-hand corner of the Sanctuary. The Prayer Team for today is: Susan and Christopher

If you’re enduring a season of brokenness, pray this prayer: Lord, please heal the broken places in my heart. Some things I have never spoken, but You know what they are. Help me release the pain so I can be a better witness for You. Carol Mackey

A little humour
Honk if you love Jesus. Text while driving if you want to meet him.
What is missing from CH _ _ CH? . . . . . U R!
The fact that there’s a highway to hell and only a stairway to heaven says a lot about anticipated traffic numbers.
