Community Garden

Gardeners! 👩‍🌾🧑‍🌾

The weekly garden get-togethers will start

Thursday, May 25th at 6:30 p.m.

Each Thursday evening during the summer we will meet to keep

the community garden flourishing and to see all the friendly

faces that come to help out. 🐝🪴🍅🥕🥒

Looking forward to it and big thanks to everyone for your enthusiasm! 😊

Friday, March 17 at 6:30 p.m.

We are getting together to plant seeds (indoors, of course!)

Everyone is welcome…come and plant and learn more about the garden.

If anyone has any paper coffee cups or yogurt containers, they will be useful for our planting.

Refreshments will be available.

Looking forward to seeing you!

May God bless you and see you in the spring!

This week’s gardening.

Time to clean out.

The season is coming to an end. 🍁🍂

August 19, 2022

In the past week and a half we had a couple of good harvests.

And we were happy to pick our first batch of celery!

Our little aloe plant came back to life and we see the beets coming soon!

We continue to thank all who come to help, to talk, to visit, to accept the harvest.

Come and visit us or join in the gardening – we love to share in any way we can! 😊

July 29 – August 3, 2022

This week we’ve been able to share lots of lettuce, zucchini, onions, herbs and much more! 🧅🌶

With everyone’s help the garden is flourishing.

Thank you to all!

Another good week in the garden. 🍅🥕🫑

Things are coming along well and the harvesting is well underway.

And we love to share whatever we can with whoever we can!

Thanks to all the workers who give their time to make it all possible.

God is good! ✝️

Hard to believe we are coming to the end of the season!

There are still some nice veggies left but not for long. 🥕🥒🌶

What a great summer of wonderful fellowship and yummy vegetables.

Thanks to the volunteers who came out to work, especially during those super hot days of August! ☀️❤️

More weeding.

More growth.

More harvesting.

Even the carrots grew a lot this week.

We had a compost bin donated to us.

And a lovely picnic lunch!

Thanks once again to everyone! 😊

Hard at work again last Friday but lots of fun! 😎

The produce is coming along well, the carrots being a bit slower 🥕

We had some visitors again – we love that! 🙂

Photographers came to take pictures – can you spot the drone? 📷

The drone took an aerial shot – looks good!

And we love the little animals that keep popping in! 🐇

Thanks, everyone! 😊

Friday, July 9, 2021

Short workday today but we harvested some snow peas and zucchinis. 🥒

So happy to see that everything is coming along well. 🙂

Even the bees are busy in the garden. 🐝

Friday, July 2, 2021

Another workday in the garden! 🥕

Some more of the kale and spinach came out, plants were moved around, higher tomato stakes were put up, and we had a couple of youngsters helping us today. 😎

Grateful for all the help there is!

And the birds keep an eye on everything for us! 😊 🐦

Friday, June 18, 2021

More weeding, more support structure, more onlookers. 👍

We love when people stop by to chat. 🙂

Things are coming along well. So much TLC! ❤️

Friday, June 11, 2021

Another productive workday in the garden! 👨‍🌾

Radishes came out…more lettuce went in…weeds came out.

The first green pepper has peaked its nose out.

And the birds keep coming back for their shower! 🐦

Thank God for all the wonderful volunteers! 🤗

We are never alone around God’s creation! 🐦

The birds love the water! 💦

The circus performer! 😅

Friday, June 4, 2021

This Friday we finally got the tomatoes in!

We also got in the cucumbers, zucchini, and squash.

We’re almost done planting!

What an accomplishment….thanks to everyone!

Friday, May 28, 2021

Another great day but sure a bit cooler!

Got the peppers planted and the fence has been put up so the little ‘visitors’ don’t dig things up!

Thank you to all the wonderful volunteers who don’t only come on Friday mornings but come by during the week to see how the garden is progressing.

Praise God for these beautiful people!

A great start to the Community Garden!

The first seeds were planted after lots of hard work and good camaraderie thanks to the volunteers of St. Joseph’s Church and Mission Nouvelle Génération.

If you would like to volunteer to help with the upkeep of the garden over the summer, please contact Pastor Belle at St. Joseph’s Church (450-672-4549) or Stéphanie at the Mission (450-486-7667)
